Families launch new group to support Ocean City traditions


Ocean City, N.J., March 11, 2024— A group of Ocean City residents has formed a new organization – Families of Ocean City United in Success (FOCUS) – to shape the future and preserve the traditions that define America's Greatest Family Resort.

FOCUS will provide support for candidates who place Ocean City residents, students, seniors, homeowners and business owners first. FOCUS will advocate for policies that preserve the city's rich heritage and prepare the community for a sound future.

"We're at a crossroads," FOCUS President Todd Eachus said. "Sadly, we live in an age in which the empty and often overheated rhetoric of social media is confused with facts ... and in which the fringe politics of those on the margins is confused with sound policy. And this rhetoric threatens Ocean City’s reputation and our future."

FOCUS will reach out to candidates in all Ocean City elections and provide support to those whose positions are the best fit for the benefit of the entire community.
