FOCUS Announces Endorsements for Municipal Election

After careful consideration, Families of Ocean City United in Success (FOCUS) is pleased to announce its endorsements for the municipal election on May 14.

FOCUS reached out to all candidates with the opportunity to complete questionnaires or interviews and would like to thank them for their participation and their willingness to serve the community.

The endorsed candidates demonstrate a commitment to serving Ocean City. They are free of personal and political agendas, and FOCUS determined that their words are best backed up by their record in private and public service.

The following candidates are endorsed by FOCUS:

·       First Ward: Terry Crowley Jr.  

·       Second Ward: Paul Stryker 

·       Third Ward: Amie Vaules

·       Fourth Ward: David Winslow 

·       At-Large: Sean Barnes

OCNJ FOCUS is new independent group of Ocean City residents formed to support qualified local candidates in the town’s non-partisan elections. The group looks forward to sharing more information on the endorsed candidates in advance of the May 14 election.

“Each of these candidates represents the best of Ocean City and brings an approach to governing that recognizes the role of City Council,” FOCUS President Todd Eachus said. “In addition, they share an optimistic and forward-looking view of Ocean City and are prepared to tackle both the challenges and opportunities of the future on behalf of all residents and taxpayers. Now is a time to look forward, rather than to air past grievances.  On behalf of the members of FOCUS, I would again like to thank all the candidates for their interest in serving.”
