Municipal Election to Include Vote by Mail Option

As in all recent elections, registered Ocean City voters will be able to vote by mail for the Ocean City municipal election on May 14, 2024.

Any registered voter who has already requested to receive vote-by-mail ballots for all elections will automatically be sent a ballot for the May 14 municipal election. Any other registered vote can complete an application to receive a vote-by-mail ballot. The applications are available online at capemaycountyvotes.com or for pickup in-person at the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall in Ocean City (861 Asbury Avenue).

The following are some key dates for the election:

March 30: Mail-in ballots will start to be sent out by mail to all requestors. 

April 23: Voter registration deadline

May 7: Deadline to apply for mail-in ballot by mail

May 13: Deadline for in-person mail-in ballot application

May 14: Deadline for post office receipt of mail-in ballots, in-person submission to Cape May County Board of Elections, or submission to an authorized ballot drop box.
